“Welcome to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Society. We invite you to join us in honoring the Blessed Mother and celebrating our Italian heritage.” - President Carl Sferrazza

Who We Are

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society, which was founded in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, CT in 1926, is a non-profit Catholic Italian-American social club. This society aspires to uphold cultural traditions, give back to our community through charitable works, and maintain the integrity of our faith.

Our History

Our society was founded in 1926 by Italian immigrants.

Our Mission

Mt Carmel is dedicated to honoring and expressing our devotion to the Blessed Mother. In addition, we are committed to preserving and advancing the values that our founders established after immigrating to the United States. These values center around love of God, cultural and familial ties, and sharing our Italian heritage with future generations.

Our Faith

A central part of Italian heritage is faith. We are a Catholic-Italian society that strives to exemplify the teachings of Jesus Christ through prayer, worship, and charitable works.
